JACKALS is a new wave only 11 years old was formed during the recent 2-3 meter uplift. of Simeulue Island on the SW coast during the 2004/2005 earthquakes that also caused the tsunami. With the reef raised sand from nearby beaches fills in and covers flat rock makes for perfect A-Frames and an alternative name Sumatran Trestles.
